We found the Turtle to be very stable in the water. This was especially important after the kids' experiences with the "Ride-On Shark" also made by Intex. That thing was a death trap, flipping the kids upside down without warning -- even older kids who felt at home in the pool didn't want to ride it twice. But not so with the Turtle! Everyone loved it (from age 3 and up to teens). The wide stance of the oversized Turtle limbs and head made it very stable in all directions. And on dry land, the kids had fun just laying and playing on it too! And the price is a fantastic value. I'm pretty sure this will serve our family well for years to come.

This pool toy is a lot of fun. It would be good to have some sort of air pump. Blowing up by mouth can be a little too much. We purchased this one to replace the one we bought a year ago. The first one's leg ripped off but only after some very rough play. Over all, a very good value for the money.

We bought several inflatable pool toys for our grandson's 6th birthday and this is his favorite - very durable and big enough that adults can even get on it! Would highly recommend.

This pool/lake toy is too big for kids and maybe even adults to get on and off. The only way is at the edge of the water and then a bit difficult to stay on.
It is also very time consuming to inflate/deflate taking over 15 minutes.
The alligator is a much better selection

I love this turtle. It is quite large and you can lay on it from head to toe out of the water and is a great platform for tanning. It reminds me of a turtle I had when I was a child and appears to be fairly durable for the price.
